Trout Lake Camp Summer Registration Starts Now!
Registration has begun for the best week of your summer! There are
camps available for all ages, as well as many family camps. Check out
the gathering area table for brochures and more information. Also
stop by TROUT LAKE CAMP.
The School of Women’s Ministries
The MBC is now offering a school of women’s ministries for those
who would like to gain insight and knowledge on how to effectively
minister to women in the church. The school runs 6 Saturdays over
the course of 2 years, so it doesn’t require a large time commitment
on your part. Please take a brochure from the lobby is you are
interested.
Dosser Open
The Dosser Open will be held on June 6-7 this year at Madden's resort in Brainerd. The cost will be $160, which will be due on May 11th. It'll be a nest ball tourney, with dinner and awards following in the club house. Another round will be available on Saturday. It's a terrific chance to get away with some buddies for a weekend fukk of great golfing. Asign-up is available in the lobby. All questions should be directed to Paul Dosser.
Send Your Updates!
If you have a ministry or event you would like to share with our
church body, please let the church office know! The deadline to get
something in the program is Thursday by noon of each week..
Whether it’s details about an upcoming event, or you just wanted to
send a thank you note to someone, let us know at
office@valleybrook.org. If you would like to send a message to the
church body during the week, we can send out a mass e-mail as well.
Ushers/Greeters still needed
There are still a few gaps in the usher/greeter schedule for 2008. We need a few willing people to step up and serve. If you are not currently serving in other areas at Valleybrook, would you consider being an usher or a greeter? The sign-up sheet is in the lobby, or talk to Todd Snelson.
Support programs at
King of Kings Lutheran
There will be two seminars being held over a 13-week period
starting this January. DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids are set
up for those who are or have been affected by divorce. Meet with
other individuals who can share in your experiences and listen to
top-notch speakers talk about recovering. GriefShare are for those
individuals going through painful losses in their lives. Check out the
brochures in the lobby for pricing and more information. Both
programs take place on Tuesdays from Jan. 15-April 15th.
Pick
up an updated
directory today!
On
the gathering area table this morning is our updated church
family directory. Please pick one up and bring it home today! If
you notice any information that is incorrect or outdated,
email
Dan. Thanks!
30 Hour Famine in April
Families with students in the youth group should mark their
calendars for World Vision’s 30Hr Famine on April 25-26. This
event will open our eyes to the tremendous needs in the world and
our community, and what we can practically do about it. This will be
our 2008 missions trip to the community we live in, including a trip
to Feed My Starving Children in Eagan. More details to come, but
students should start signing up with Dan now!
Life
group update
Everybody
wants a "good life" that's free from problems. But for
some Christians, the desire to fix what's wrong with life and the
pursuit of biblical "principles" and "blessings"
actually become a
form of idolatry. The Pressure's Off by author Larry Crabb will help
you discover how to escape that bondage and learn to experience
true freedom and connectedness with God.

more information contact Jeff or Kathy at 651-739-5271 or e-mail.
